San Mateo Rose Garden

Today was such a nice day, my mom and I decided to venture south to San Mateo to grab lunch and hang out. After we got a bite to eat we decided to take a little walk to get some sunshine. The Japanese Tea Garden was closed, but right next to it was the rose garden. We enjoyed our time sitting on the benches in the sun and chatting. There were so many different kinds of roses. They were super pretty and smelled amazzzziiing! Here are some of the ones that especially caught my eye.

My First Steak!

The other day I made my first steak. To some, it might be something simple, but for me, it wasn’t something that I would usually do. BUT, I do have to say that it turned out extremely good and I want to make it again, and again, and again!!

First, I gathered sea salt, grapeseed oil. pepper, paprika, thyme, garlic, and butter.

Next, I seasoned the meat with salt, pepper, and , paprika.

Then, I coated the pan with grapeseed oil and placed the meat in the pan.

Then, I added the garlic, thyme, and butter. I basted the melted butter onto the steak.
